About Me

I'm a Jazz enthusiast, of sorts. I'm not in the Music profession, but I have a musical background. I was once ranked #1 by my home-state in Jazz for the Tenor Sax, but didn't get to perform at the All- State performance due to an emergency tonsillectomy. I have some college experience in Jazz/music, but somewhere, somehow got lost in the mix of music theory, hence leaving me where I'm at now.I have a low tolerance for "soft" Jazz, which in my opinion is not Jazz at all, but a sad attempt to get out of the basement of ones parents and find a cheap date. Ever search for Jazz stations on the radio online and notice about 75% of them are dedicated to soft Jazz? What gives? Where have the real artists gone? This is why I've decided to start this myspace page, and see where it goes from there. My goal is to casually search for good Jazz music and artists. I try not to use the term "artists" lightly. If I find someone who has what it takes, you will find them here.
