If I knew then what I know now

About Me

Cynical, fun, and to myself. I enjoy watching movies, working out, and just relaxing. I will admit I do light reading in my free time and not just tabloid magazines either.I am not a big sports fan but if I had to choose I would say I prefer football over basketball. Since I hail from Dallas, TX, the Cowboys would be my team.I absolutely love to dance. That is about the only time I let loose. Dancing relaxes me (I like to relax) and it eases my mind. Not really a big drinker but I have had a few.

My Interests

Traveling, dancing, movies, hanging with close friends and working out. It is not that I am all athletic but I enjoy physical fitness, it must be the endorphins.Recently moved to Virginia from California so I am still trying to adjust. Unfortunately I do not do too much.

I'd like to meet:

People with my same interests or anyone who can introduce me to something new and fun. Not looking for romance just friendship.

Music:

Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, and non-vulgar rap (if it exists).

Movies:

I like all kinds of movies; drama, action, comedy, sci-fi. As long as the writing is decent and the acting is good. I do not really have a favorite movie but I will admit 'Legends of the Fall' made me weak in the knees. (Brad Pitt starred in it). Right now I like the Harry Potter movies (do not tell my mama) and anything with Edward Norton. My last favorite trilogy was 'Lord of the Rings.' My last favorite movie is 'The Departed'.

Television:

My favorite show is now Grey's Anatomy and The Soup!. I also like The Closer and Monk.

Books:

My favorite casual book is "On Tara Road." I got hooked on Dan Brown after 'The Da Vinci Code' so I have read his three other books. Not sure what I will read next. Maybe if Oprah's book club has something interesting I will read it.

Heroes:

My down to earth hero is my mother, because she did a lot with very little and I am proud of her for that.My over the top hero is Oprah Winfrey. Whenever I get tired and want to quit. I always say to myself "Do you have your own multi-million dollar company?" "No." "Stop being lazy and take care of business!!!" This coupled with how much my mother did with so little, I tend to do alright.
