....Chris Scott and Pete Kostrivas had played music together since high school, but nothing too serious, until 2008. The duo Pete was in at the time, Art Is For Amateurs, was going through personnel changes. Chris joined up with Pete to play a show that was already booked, just to fill in. They quickly discovered that they wanted to keep going, the project was completely different and new from Art Is For Amateurs, so they changed the name to Sharking Hour and began working on a new album. North Of Nippon was their first album together, self-released in February of 2009. At the release show at Yield (March 11, 2009), their friend Justin Spaller attended. The topic of adding a live drummer was brought up (at the time Sharking Hour was 2 guitars and a drum machine). Talk of Matt Fiss, mutual friend, came up; Justin offered to play bass. A couple of practices later, Sharking Hour was playing their first show as a four piece band at Stonefly Bre wery in Milwaukee on March 26, 2009 (a last minute invite by The Brothers Burn Mountain). They have gone on to play Bay View's Chill on The Hill concert series, Summerfest, and they have just finished recording a new album due out in January.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)Email us at
