Chris childhood influences range wide and far from the rich sounds of past time greats such as, Sam Cooke, Teddy P, Marvin Gaye, and Isaac Hayes to the laid back sessions listening to Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear, and Morgan Heritage to name a few. With this exposure to music at this age there was no doubt to the fact that regardless of what he does music is sure to be a part of it. While in elementary Chris commanded the stage in his schools stage performances often singing lead parts for grades higher than his own. All the while nurturing his ear and improving his craft both as a musician and artist alike. Chris participated in several shows as a youth and performed each as if they were his last, this part of his mentality can be attributed to his father words as he remembers The best impression made is a positive lasting impression, of which he is sure to deliver.
Throughout high school Chris continued his push for a sound of his own often being caught in between classes writing and singing his soulful conscious vibes or urban ballads on life or love in the school bathrooms just so to be critical of his own sound, and as we all know that the bathroom just has a sound that cant be duplicated. Showcases, Extravaganza, Talent shows, if it was happening Chris was there to make his mark on the listeners ears. The end results were always standing ovations and total amazement about his showmanship, charisma, and confidence in his performance delivery and lyrical content. A natural poet since age 13 has afforded Chris with a natural flow of lyrical creativity; that all but physically consumes you. This in the long run only made more compact the development of Chris Anthony. After college Chris relocated to Atlanta where he currently resides and was struck with a life changing event that would soon take him on an artists journey. While visiting a Baber Shop located off of Atlantas Glenwood Avenue; a buzz was mentioned in the shop of his talent, so in front of all on this Friday noon he was summons to show for all his skills or lack there of. Along with the fact that he was unfamiliar with his total surroundings, he was very familiar with music. Not to mention being in front of R&B vocalist / renowned writer Montell Jordan, Chris did his thing and wowed the audience to silence. This led to Chris Anthony the artist emerging on the Atlanta scene. Chris was as a result signed to Hendu Entertainment and worked with the likes of 702, Nivea, Mista Raja, Hoax Mendosah, Autumn Hayes, and Issac Hayes III. Chris recorded several tracks which were never released, but rest assure that this laid back from the north to the south convert is sure to make his musical presence felt on an international scene, so stand by.
