Composer, pianist, teacher, Karine Gagnon uses music as an international second langage.
Beginning composing at the age of 2, she started piano lessons at 7 with Jacqueline Evers at A la portée des sons (where she later teached 10 years). At 17 years old, she enters in the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Trois-Rivières
until DESM2 (Master's Degree) in piano with Michel Kozlovsky and composition (fugue, counterpoint, harmony) with Gilles Bellemare.

She composed an incredible quantity of works for young pianists, including a complete collection of exercices, studies and repertoire, in a collection called "Le Prelude", actually used in music school as required elements for examinations.

Her music includes works for piano, orchestra, chamber music, choirs, and, recently, electronics. Really picky about her music and shy about showing it in the past, she destroyed in the past several opus, which we now have only titles as empty shells. Fortunately, things are changing and now she shares without ego her drafts, ideas, tests.
