As a result of having A.D.D. I'm easily amused. Here's a list of random 'key' words, pertaining to myself or things that interest me: Insomniac, herbal healing/alternative medicine, Chios Energy Feild Healing, nature, mountains, animals, picnics, Esthiology/skin care, Massage Therapy, kama sutra, Hopeless Romantic, astronomy, science, Arts&Crafts, schizophrenic tendencies, literature, museums, performing fellatio, receiving cunnilingus, binge eating, Cyclothymic, Non-conformist, entheogens, poetry, mind over matter, learning, meditation, yoga, cooking, needle work/cross stitching, sculpting, shoe fanatic, Cat Lover, Green eyes, Obsessive Compulsive, purified water, candles, incense, phone-aholic, chat junkie, pacifist, slightly agoraphobic.......
I would like to meet people who could contribute to the broadening of my horizon. I love to be turned on to new things...enlighten me baby! ;) I prefer people who aren't too set in their ways and would also be open minded enough to let me broaden their horizons as well. Umm, anyone who wants to have fun...and my idea of "fun" is definitely NOT going to the clubs every weekend. They are okay, sometimes...actually, I think that going to a strip club with a date...admiring all the beautiful bodies and the cool shoes (yeah I'm a shoe fanatic and I love platform heels) is much more enjoyable, compared to the typical night club scene. Hmmm, things that I consider to be good fun...(well, in addition to steamy hot, kinky sex and of course cuddling afterwards) cool museums, picnics at the park or beach (but only later in the evening for a beach picnic, just before the sun sets...I don't like too much direct sunlight on my skin) cruising around aimlessly, going to watch plays at the theatre, amusement/theme parks....something to that effect. I hang out with all sorts of people...laid back, high strung, down to earth, spacey, easy going, melodramatic...doesn't matter to me, so long as you have exceedingly good moral values AND are compassionate towards others at ALL times. Being intellectually inclined will definitely grab my attention. Oh and being well mannered will grab my attention even faster! Okay...Turn Offs: arrogance, pretension, deceit, narrow-mindedness, bad tippers, etc. I guess I'm kind of picky about the people with whom I choose to surround myself...that's not necessarily a bad thing, right?? Although, I'm a very sexual being...I'm NOT on here looking for meaningless sex. I use Yahoo Messenger mostly, but, I do have AIM and MSN. Fancy a chat??? :)
(I thought this was kind of neat, but, Beware of Weirdos...I've encountered a few. This 'flash chat' thingy links all people actually using that HTML code to post the chatroom onto their page and/or those who activate it through them)
P.S. For some reason, my format DOES NOT look right on that Mozilla FireFox thing...my text doesn't have the 'Glow' effect and it's all out of alignment. Also, my curser image AND my page border don't show up properly. Apparently, some of the HTML codes I used are only compatable with Internet Explorer :( So, I guess if you'd like to see my page the way I actually decorated it then you'll need to open it up through Explorer as opposed to Fire Fox, otherwise you won't be able to see my text very well on your screen, unless you highlight it, but even then, my page still won't look right.....ugh, that totally sucks, sorry!!
Madonna has been my ALL time favorite, since I was five years old. I LOVE her!!! :) I enjoy a very diverse selection of music, though...and I have MANY favorite bands...kind of hard to narrow it down, but, top five would be: The Beatles, Nirvana, Garbage, Coldplay, Journey, Incubus...well, that was six (I couldn't decide between the last two) Other favorites (in no particular order) Tori Amos, INXS, She Wants Revenge, Oasis, Fiona Apple, Green Day, Depeche Mode, U2, The Killers, Led Zeppelin, My Chemical Romance, Duran Duran, Franz Ferdinand, Sum41, Radiohead, No Doubt/Gwen Stefani, Lil Kim, Flaming Lips, Snow Patrol, Smashing Pumpkins, The Violent Femmes, Kean, Johnny Cash, Blondie, The Doors, Metallica, Outkast, G-N-R, Air Supply, Sonic Youth, Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward, The Breeders, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Muse, Jet, Richard Marx, White Stripes, Shaniah Twain, Missy-E, Blink 182, Hole, Modest Mouse, Queens of the Stoneage, Maroon5, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Bush, Sex Pistols, Patsy Cline, Blackeyed Peas, Peter Gabriel, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, Ludacris, J-Timberlake, Snoop, The Police, Van Halen, Allyiah, Foo Fighters, Gorillaz, The Strokes, Cranberries, The Bravery, Unwritten Law, Heart, Portishead, The Smiths, Reo Speedwagon ...........the list could go on. I love listening to a great pianist play...I could listen for hours upon hours. Oh, and I also love listening to great violinists. Although, my preference is predominantly mainstream Rock/Pop...I do have all types of favorite songs and I enjoy many different genres including... Classical/Instrumental; Jazz/Swing; Golden Oldies; Disco; Electronic; R&B/hip-hop; Light/Easy love songs; Country; Metal; Punk; Emo; Ska; New Age/Ambient; Celtic; anything 80's; etc. I just love music!!! It brings back memories of the good times...helps me find solace through the sad times. It is wonderful, beautiful...magical even! :)
..
I enjoy many different genres...mostly Drama and/or artsy stuff. I love it when a movie can touch my heart or move me, emotionally...which is not difficult to do since I'm like, the most empathetic person in the world! ;) I have A LOT of favorite flicks, but, if I had to choose an all time favorite that totally takes me away.....probably Rocky Horror Picture Show. I've loved that movie since my mom first allowed me to watch it, when I was in 5th grade and I have lots of fond memories throughout my teen years, watching it with the circle of friends I grew up with. Yeah, I know it practically verbatim, lol. Hmmmm, what other faves..... Shakespeare in Love, Talented Mr. Ripley, Sylvia, Emma, Shallow Hal, Seven, Sliding Doors, Royal Tennenbahms, Sky Captain (pretty much anything with Gweneth Paltrow, she's my favorite...brilliant actress!) There are so many movies that I've enjoyed immensely, I cannot possibly remember them all, but, I'll try to list some of the ones that I'd consider "favorites"......Terms of Endearment, Being John Malkovich, Lars and the Real Girl, Pretty in Pink, Splendor in the Grass, Mulin Rouge, Grease, Wedding Singer, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Sound of Music, Reality Bites, Blow, Le Fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain (a.k.a. "Amelie") 12 Monkeys, Closer, Memento, Some Like it Hot, Mallrats, Trainspotting, Heathers, Eternal Sunshine, Pulp Fiction, Gone with the Wind, Never Ending Story, Coming to America, Mannequin, Death Becomes Her, Pee Wees Big Adventure, Wild Things, Blast from the Past, 200 Cigarettes, Legend, Victor/Victoria, Labyrinth, Scream-trilogy, Weird Science, Truth or Dare, Fright Night2, Serendipity, Dick Tracy, Overboard, Dirty Dancing, Cruel Intentions, Top Gun, SFW, Rebel without a Cause, Four Rooms, Evita, Truman Show, Vanilla Sky, Back to the Future-trilogy, Benny & Joon, Streetcar Named Desire, Elizabeth, Castaway, Dangerous Liaisons, Niagara, Desperately Seeking Susan, Sideways, High Fidelity, etc.
Okay, here's a random list of shows that I enjoy watching or have enjoyed in the past, but, I don't have time anymore to actually tune in and watch any certain show every single week. I catch most of them in syndication......Flight of the Conchords, Psych, My name is Earl, 30 Rock, Without a Trace, Charmed, Smallville, Will&Grace, That 70's Show, SNL, Nip/Tuck, Quantum leap, Boiling Point, Trigger Happy TV, My So-Called Life, Seinfeld, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Bewitched, MadTV, Law&Order, Judge Judy and Judge Mathis, Frazier, Chapel Show, Angel, Reno 911, X-files. I'm totally NOT into celebrity gossip at all, but, for some reason, like a moth to a porch light, I am drawn to those stupid shows like Best Week Ever, The Soup OR the many VH1 countdowns, lol. I don't normally get into reality tv, but I didn't miss a single episode of VH1's (celeb-reality show) 'Kept' with Jerry Hall...she's very cool! I guess I do end up watching the Sureal Life alot, but, I don't really like to admit that...my secret is out! Sometimes when I'm really, really, really bored, I'll watch the dating shows...Elimidate, Next or Room Raiders, etc. Does anyone remember that old comedy show that aired on MTV back in the mid 90's called The State??? www.the-state.com It was only like the BEST sketch comedy show EVER!!! ;)
When I was much younger, I probably read more Madonna Biographies than a person should, but.....lol. Throughout my teen years I was really into Anne Rice...I read alot of her stuff including all of the Vampire Chronicles. My favorites were Tale of the Body Thief and Pandora. I also loved The Witching Hour...Lasher and Taltos were great follow ups. I enjoyed a lot of Clive Barker's writings. I really haven't spent much time reading novels lately. These days, I mostly read books on astronomy, the Kama Sutra, health/fitness, alternative medicine, massage techniques, etc. I just finished The Natural Cures 'They' Don't Want You to Know About, by Kevin Trudeau...it was pretty good and I agree with a lot of his views. I did buy a philisophical book recently (well, several months ago) by Ayn Rand called Atlas Shrugged, I picked it up because I was told that it is a very good book and hopefully I'll get around to reading it at some point in the near future...I'm such a procrastinator!
Disregard the cliche, but...My Mom. She's a single parent who raised me by herself, working two jobs most of my life just to make ends meet. Although we had our disagreements throughout the years (and 'knock down-drag outs' lol) she's my best friend...and I love her a lot.
