Singer/Songwriter/Composer, Dave Dzambo, carries with him the vital element of success.
Passion.
Through most of Dave’s life, he grew up within the walls of a small Pentecostal church in Stroudsburg, PA. In his younger years, he had started taking piano lessons which fine tuned his ear and became passionate about music. Over the years and to this day, he has received 7 Superior Awards as a pianist. During this time, he had found interest in other instruments from playing trumpet in the school band to sitting down behind the church’s drum set. At age 16, he began to play drums for the Praise and Worship team at Christian Life Assembly. At age 17, he had picked up the guitar and almost immediately began playing on the Youth Praise and Worship team which over time he led vocally for 2 and a half years.
Over time, Dzambo had walked out of the church doors and began seeking after anything else that could broaden his abilities. In late 2002, he came across a few others who were looking to start a band. They formed a band quickly called "Small Impact" where Dave had taken the spot of lead guitarist/backup vocalist. Small Impact (SI) began as a pop/rock sound releasing a single that year. But Dave’s personal life was in shambles causing him to retreat to Dallas, TX where he enrolled in a school just to win his ex-girlfriends heart back. After months, he realized he had failed and came home where he was welcome back into SI. Small Impact had changed to a punk/hardcore sound leading them to playing Flipside Festival in 2004 with bands such as The Early November, Motion City Soundtrack and Allister. Soon after that they had played their hometown with bands like Emery, Hawtthorne Heights, Brazil and Silverstein. In February of 2005, SI had set out on an East Coast Tour called "The Dive Tour" with Hopeless Records band, Amber Pacific. After 30 days of fun and mixed emotions, the band had ended shortly after their last show at home in March of 2005.
On March 26th, 2005, Dzambo took former members of SI and started a rock/screamo/metal band called "mysteadybackfire". As Dave took the position of fronting the band vocally, he led mysteadybackfire (MSB) to a whole new level. Releasing their first EP that year, they began to play shows in their hometown and were met with immediate fans. Over time and a line-up change, MSB was honored to play a few dates on the East Coast Indie Stage on the 2006 Vans Warped Tour. After that summer, with heads in the sky, mysteadybackfire went on to put out 2 more EP’s and traveled around the North East gathering fans. With more line-up changes, MSB found themselves in the studio in the fall of 2007 where they planned to record and release their first full length album. But personal lives began to shift and the weight of reality began to crush the shoulders of the leaders of MSB. On March 9th, 2008, mysteadybackfire called it quits and left it behind.
Today, Dave Dzambo has quickly planted his feet into what he’s best at. Sinking back into his roots with an acoustic guitar and taking what he’s learned over the years, he sets back out. With calls and messages pouring in wanting a solo project, Dzambo decided to release his first album, "The Midnight Scheme", scheduled to be released Fall of 2008.
