About Me

Jackie Lamb brings a unique style of church music to his concerts. Jackie’s influential roots grow from deep within Southern Gospel with artists like Dottie Rambo but grow to soar with more inspirational artists like Michael W. Smith and Andre Crouch. Jackie says, “I always admired their passion for the Father, and commitment of their lives to Him. It was so tangible that it could be grasped in the songs they write and their communication of the song. That’s something I wanted to pattern myself after. That type of commitment to the Call is truly inspirational!”Being raised in a Christian home Jackie is no stranger to gospel music. A product of a musically charged home life, Jackie began to develop his musical gifts at a young age. He began to study violin at the age of seven and continued for the next eleven years. During that time he also studied cello, piano and the organ. While training in classical music he had always ignored his singing abilities, feeling there would be little use for that as a concert violinist. This would all change when at the age of fourteen he became the church pianist. It was at this time that God would begin to show Jackie the gifts he had been given were meant for a much greater purpose than that of the classical concert stage. Jackie started developing his vocal ability and pursuing ministry in music rather than just performing it.Jackie’s first official gospel singing position was given to him by George Amon Webster of The Heartland Boys Quartet says of Jackie “as anyone knows who travels like we do, singing is probably the least important aspect of hiring a singer. I found Jackie to be very personable, well balanced and a delight to be around, and the fact that he was a great singer was an added bonus. Jackson, as I call him, has a very sincere heart for the people and the people in turn respond well to his authentic heartfelt portrayal of this gospel we sing about.”In recent years Jackie’s song writing abilities began to surface and he knew that his writing style would not be a good match for a traditional Southern Gospel quartet. In January 2008, after spending a year on the road with well-known gospel group, Heirline, Jackie ventured out into a solo career.Jackie’s first album, entitled, “A Life of Grace,” was just released and can be heard online at www.myspace.com/jackielambmusic1.Melissa UptonGrowing up in a Christian home, Melissa is no stranger to the music of the church. Melissa’s teenage years were spent playing the piano, organ and singing, assisting in the music department of her own church as well as various youth meetings and revivals across Indiana. Melissa would spend hours practicing piano and pouring her heart into learning as much as she could about music. Early adulthood found Melissa as a permanent fixture of her church worship team and it was at this time that she realized this was not just something she enjoyed doing, but an area in which God had called her to serve. During her time serving the church Melissa began to work promoting concerts in her hometown. Thru these events she became acquainted with various singers and groups from all over the country. It was during this time that she met Jackie Lamb and a friendship was formed almost instantaneously. Several years after meeting Jackie, Melissa felt a shift in the direction of her calling. God was calling her to reach out beyond the four walls of her local church and share her gifts and testimonies with others. It was at this time that Jackie Lamb spoke with Melissa about being part of a new venture and she knew it was the will God. Today Melissa travels with Jackie ministering in churches wherever the opportunity presents itself.

Sounds Like: When I speak of musical influences I don't refer to artists whose music I merely enjoy. For me, someone of Influence must be a person whose music moves you. A person whose very soul is made available through their songs. Some of my influences are people most of you will never know. Although I don't sound like any of those who have compelled me, each of them have helped shape who I am musically.Dottie Rambo, Michael English, Mickey Mangun, Karen Peck,Celine Dion ,Andre Crouch,Michael W.
