I was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, where my involvement in gangs and criminal activity, led to my spending more than a decade in prison. My time behind bars began at the tender age of 14, for selling drugs. I grew up on the streets with the homies on the block, in a poverty stricken neighborhood, where it was easy for me to commit illegal acts. Those illegal acts were not only to keep from starving but also to keep up with the Jones’. After spending a few years in jail, I was released un-rehabilitated to stray the same poverty stricken streets. Having not quite learned my lesson, I robbed a bank and had a shootout with the LAPD which nearly led to my demise. The end result, a few bullets lodged in my head, chest and leg, plus two 14 year sentences, ran concurrent. I sat in prison for the next 10 years and wrote lyrics about my life of crime and the struggle through it all. By rap music being my first passion, “reality†rap music is how I choose to convey to people good music they can feel and enjoy, but also articulate myself as well. While serving my tenure in prison I capitalized on three live performances where there were no less than 200 occupants in attendance. At that point, I found my love for the stage. After my release from prison in November 2005, I met a producer and after a few hours in the studio, we decided to collaborate on a CD together. I titled that CD “Hood Lawâ€. While “Hood Law†was in the making I did another live performance at club “Monte Cristo†in L.A. finding my love for the stage yet a fourth time. My ultimate goal is to add a few fruitful chapters to the Hip-Hop industry that everyone could vibe to. Longevity is expected, since my career decision as a rap artist is final.
