Kansas City Alex's Lemonade Stands

About Me

A committee organizes a large Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (a registered 501c3 public charity) event every year in June to raise funds to help cure childhood cancer. THANK YOU KANSAS CITY FOR YOUR EXTREME GENEROSITY IN HELPING US TO FAR SURPASS OUR GOAL AND HELP ALL OF THESE CHILDREN TO OVERCOME THEIR CANCER!!! We are looking for volunteers (children, youth and adults welcome), corporate sponsors, offices who want to hold office events such as a "pay to wear jeans" to work day or lemonade stand/baked goods event at the office. Since 2004, the efforts of our volunteers, companies in KC, and friends and family have raised over $303,000 for childhood cancer research.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Regular Volunteer (age 5 to adult): staffs lemonade stand for minimum 2 hour shifts. Younger than 16 years old must have adult supervision.
Team Leader Volunteer (age 16 and up): Recruits other volunteers to staff their stand for 2 days (10AM-6PM daily), especially youth groups such as scouts, sports teams, church groups, teen groups, and families with children; adults are also welcome. Is liaison with store and finds and schedules other volunteers at their stand (overall coordinators may also provide volunteers if available). Sell lemonade the days of the stand. Preferred but not required to be present during entire event.
Event Planning: Also need other people to help organize the event and/or serve as Advisors.
Also need Corporate Sponsors or companies to hold Office Events.
