I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

I love to cook and make wine. I'm definitely more of a red guy but I do like dry whites. I would love to own/run a restaurant/pub someday. I'm currently making mead for the first time.
I'm a Yankee fan and I'm a columnist for MVN.com. I cover/recap Yankee games, write analysis, news and things like that. You can read our coverage at http://www.mvn.com/mlb-yankees
I like movies and music, like everyone else in the world. I'm a lover of stories, be they spoken, written, or visual. I like snowboarding. I find most people obnoxious. I respect people who can spell correctly.
Donatello was my favorite ninja turtle. Batman is by far the coolest super hero ever. I welcome any argument to the contrary. I still watch saturday morning cartoons.
I love books. Fantasy, historical fiction, comics, legends, folklore... I like that stuff. I really dig Joss Whedon's Firefly. I'm interested in history, cultures, and theology. I would like to have a library in my house someday. Along with a home brewing cellar.
My friends are the most important thing in my life and I love them fiercely.

My Interests

Writing: I'm a sports writer and I occasionally write movie reviews on my website. Good times.

Movies: Films are one of my passions. I collect dvds.

Reading: I love reading and am always in the middle of some book or another. I want a library in my house someday.

Art: Mostly drawing. I would like to do comics for fun.

Music: I've always wanted to sing in a band. I've picked up the guitar many times, as well, but I have this adversion to sticking with something that I suck at. So I never managed to get better. I just bought a harmonica.

Sports: Baseball. I do like hockey, but no one else does. I follow the Yankees and I'm a Yankee columnist in my spare time. I root against any hockey team from the south. And any hockey team without a noun as their team name. The Syracuse Crunch get a pass. I also like to play softball and volleyball. Nothing sadder than a bunch of out of shape former athletes playing beer league softball after work.

Snowboarding: The closest thing to flying. Something isn't truly fun unless its at least a little dangerous.

Darts: I love playing darts. Except when I'm losing. I fucking hate losing.

Cooking: I've very much into cooking. I also collect cookbooks. I love watching the food network and learning mew dishes. I like Alton Brown.

Home Brewing: I make wine & mead. I'm going to try beer and cider next.

Fantasy: It's my favorite genre when it comes to reading and writing. I also like RPGs and fantasy movies. Renaissance festivals are a lot of fun... I get drunk and pretend I'm not looking at boobs.

Graphic Novels: Because I'll never be too old for these.

Video Games: These either.

Mythology, Legends, Folklore, Theology: I love ancient cultures and their myths, ie Greek, Norse, Japanese, Celtic. I also love modern myths and theology, most notably Christianity and Taoism. I love studying these things and learning where they came from and what they developed into throughout the years. Intriguing stuff.

Martial Arts: Long-term plan: start taking Jiu-jitsu. Yoga is something I'm interested in starting too. I've always been fascinated by the martial arts and Eastern philosophies.
