We proudly offer quality Knabe Fine Pianos, from consoles to grands. We also stock Kohler & Campbell pianos, which have made heirloom quality pianos since 1896. These beautiful pianos are made at the Samick factory, the largest maker of grand pianos in the world. ~SCHOOL RENTALS~
LARGE SELECTION - We have all sizes of new and used violins, violas, and cellos, from student models to professional instruments. We proudly carry primarily the fine Gotz orchestral instruments (made in Germany) which are excellent for school use and highly preferred. We also stock other student-quality brands to fit in your budget. As a word of caution, be aware that you may find on the market some imported violins which cost much less (new $50-$100) but do not stay in tune, and are not recommended for school use. We also carry quality band instruments from Selmer, Bach, King, Leblanc, Holton, and many more!
NO OBLIGATION - There is a two-month minimum rent (non-refundable), and then you may return the instrument at any time with no further obligation. We rent both new and used.
ALL RENT APPLIES! - All rent paid is applied to the purchase. If at any time you should decide to buy, simply continue to pay your same monthly payment. The instrument becomes your property after the instrument price plus 3 additional months are paid. If you would like to purchase with no additional fee, we also offer this plan: If you decide to buy within six months there are no extra charges!
GUARANTEE - We guarantee (with no additional charge) used instruments and rental return instruments for 120 days to be in good playing condition. New instruments have a one-year guarantee against manufacturer defects. If desired, a maintenance program is available starting as low as $2.00 a month!
WHAT SIZE OF INSTRUMENT? - To measure your child for instrument size, ask your instructor or bring the student to Dorsey Music for correct fitting.
CHANGING INSTRUMENTS - If you need to change to a different size instrument, we will apply 50% to 100% of the rent paid towards the purchase of the second orchestra instrument. Ask store employee for details.
REPAIR - Dorsey Music has instrument repair technicians with many years of experience for quick and reliable service, including a graduate of the prestigious Red Wing Band Instrument Repair School. Also, free repair estimates!
BOOKS AND LESSONS - We also have all the accessories and music books you need. Dorsey's School of Music has private instructors for most instruments!
