Sounds Like: THE LIGHTNING TOKYO is one man who calls London and/ or Devon home and concocts electronica-based soundscapes that share common ground with fellow avant-gardeners from the past and present such as M83, Can and Devo. Clearly a man who found the right balance between influence and innovation, 'The Floor Upstairs' is a beautiful and all-to-short piece that, if not intended for a cerebral movie soundtrack, could easily end up as one; while 'Modern Songs' showcases LT's voice, with its echoes of Interpol and '80s Euro beat.
