About Me

UP NEXT - IRISH TECHNO CONNOISSEUR - PHIL KIERAN
The Glitches Priority is to bring new and upfront music to the city of Dundee for forward thinking clubbers. Nothing more - nothing less.
Glitch kicked off on Saturday the 1st of December 2007 with a Guest act flown in all the way from Berlin, which was none other than the deliriously frazzled 'Vector Lover' Martin Wheeler. A night in association with Glasgow's bastion of underground techno, 'Soma Records'.Since that time we have included 'Colours' main man 'Jon Mancini', and the hottest and fastest uprising Dj / Producer of the deep house scene 'Milton Jackson' of Freerange Records, Then of course a September show from our good Friend 'Harri' of Sub Club in Glasgow, And last but Not least the small issue of giving Dundee a long overdue return of a creator of acid house, a producer for superstar musicians of mass repute, and a world wide renowned Dj, yes you guessed it 'Justin Robertson'.UP NEXT - IRISH TECHNO CONNOISSEUR - PHIL KIERAN
Phil Kieran is switching gears again. After three years of almost total dedication to his critically acclaimed Alloy Mental project ( www.myspace.com/alloymental), the Belfast DJ and producer is back to doing what he does best, making his own distinctive brand of dance music. Kieran has dug out the old techno gems , reflected on early influences like Joy Division and Aphex Twin, tipped his hat to newcomers like Marc Houle and Audion, and set to work on producing a catalogue of sure-fire dancefloor killers, for offer over the coming months. Last year Phil brought us ’Skyhook’ on Novamute and hooked up with Cocoon to release ‘I think I’m a monster’. Following both tracks widespread success the German label is also set to unleash ’Missp’ in March 08. Recent remix work includes ‘Hold my hand’ for UNKLE and the upcoming ‘Dancing Bears’ for Roel H, which is set to be massive.New record label , Flying Cabbage has Phil at the helm in his new role as label boss. The first two releases ‘Pinhole of Light’ and ‘Again and Again’ mean the label looks set to become one of the essential European Imprints. If a track sounds good, if it can move you inside or out, it has a home at Flying Cabbage. Phil certainly leads by example. His own works and DJ sets mix the past with the present, dark with light, the uplifting with the unsettling, resulting in an uncompromised and unique take on underground dance music.
