Since I joined the navy, I have learned a great deal about how to survive on my own while also being able to take care of the people I love. I have also learned the value of friendship more than anything else. To be away from your family and friends is unbelievably hard, but it also keeps me going when things start to get rough. The love I have for freedom in this world is enough for me to sacrifice my own for everyone else. People do not realize what they really have until it is taken away. I have given the U.S. Flag to several widoes who have lost their husbands, Sons and Daughters who have lost their fathers, And Friends who have lost Brothers. Truth be told, Our freedom comes from the people defending it and die for it. So that everytime you go home, we want you to enjoy that privilage and remember to smile for us.
