Newsflash: I'm putting together a compilation album, with a documentary feel.This is the first draft of beats that have a common theme: The Hustler. Now I ain't a "hustla", and don't spend my time on the block, however I'd like to catch some attention from folks who have been through it or are going through it just to get by. Perhaps they can shed some light on the subject, for our children who might be interested in going down that path...offering some words of wisdom for the kids who think that hustling is their only option. I'm looking to explore every angle possible.What sparked this? There's a kid I know that was recently on the front page of several newspapers. I didn't know him that well, but, he was arrested for murder. He graduated from H.S. and couldn't read or write, didn't posess enough skills to get a job. I spoke with other students who knew him and some of them felt that he had no other options, but to sell drugs, which ultimately let him to getting arrested. Other students said he was stupid for doing what he did and would never travel down that path. The whole situation really shook me up. I figured that I could do something that might have an impact on the kids.
