About Me
Show me the man you honor, and I will know what kind of man you are! ~Thomas Carlyle“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma ~ which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.†~Steve Job.Values are like fingerprints. Nobody's are the same, but you leave 'em all over everything you do. ~Elvis PresleyTime invested in improving ourselves cuts down on time wasted in disapproving of others.Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely. ~Auguste RodinThe mind is like a parachute, It doesn't work unless it's open.
Have you ever noticed how difficult it is to talk about yourself? Well let's see...I grew up in the city of Hazel-Tuckey (Michiganders know what I mean!) but, managed to escape the city life (chaos) for the country, with all that nature has to offer! I love being able to grab my morning coffee, sit on the deck and watch the family of ducks in my pond, or the crane's just bathing in the sun, and the deer roaming free. As you can tell, I love the beauty of nature, it shows us something new everyday! You just have to slow down in life, and remember to capture and enjoy what's all around us! I have been married to my ROMEO...Michael, for 21 years. We meet in school, and have been together ever since. We have three awesome children. Justin, who was in the army, he has been to Iraq and back. He is a very determined young man. Jeremy, who is outgoing and gets along with everyone. He loves working on automobiles and building them. He is my grease monkey for sure. Brittney, who is our beautiful, intelligent, sassy baby girl, with a mind all her own. And not afraid to speak it. I don't have to worry about her standing up for herself. I am so PROUD of the young adults they are becoming. We are truly BLESSED...they are our lives. To laugh often and love much, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to give of one's self, this is to have succeeded.~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
I owned a Company for 17 years. I retired, to help take care of my Dad, who suffered from cancer. I never left his side...I kissed his forehead as his heart took the last beat and his lungs the last breath. I'm thankful, I was there when his journey on earth was finished. He knew he was loved and not alone! All of his Family was with him as the heavens opened and called one the most beautiful of spirits home, my beloved Father. He passed away April 02, 2009. We had the pleasure of making some of his dreams come true. Mike and I, took him on a five week vacation. He had the time of his life, it will be a time my family will cherish forever. It has been one of the hardest times in my life. I am a fighter, I fumble, falter and fall but, I always pick myself back up, brush myself off, continue on a little wiser, a little stronger and a little more determined. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing he is no longer suffering. And he is rejoicing with the Lord.
I am a believer, I am a born again christian. My Grandfather was a Baptist Preacher, so I grew up in church. My Religion is very important to me. Jesus Christ died according to His Word. He paid the greatest price to save you and I from sin. You just have to let him in!
I had the pleasure of singing with the Imperials...It helps that my cousin is Jim Murray. When he was in the band. ( I was only 14, but at that time I thought it was the greatest thing in the world!) We sang Sail On...while singing my Uncle let me play the cow bell. LOL...Funny how some memories are so vivid.
I am a survivor, People come in and out of our lives for a reason. To serve a purpose, to help you become who you are, maybe it is to help the other person. But, each will serve a different purpose! Without these people you will NOT LEARN life lessons. Life seems unfair at times, only after the pain and hurt is gone...and you reflect back is when you become WISER! That is when you realize your inner strength and courage. I have learned that the terrible experiences are the most important one's to learn from! The people who hurt us, usually are hurting more inside, or have been hurt the most in life! That gives them no excuse and they will carry that burden. Life is to short, take the lessons you learned, forgive them for they have taught you a lesson on trust. Turn them into a positive so you continue to grow.
I love to be with my family and friends. We love each other and are always there for one another in good times and bad.
Never let ANYONE or ANYTHING come between you and the people you LOVE. After all isn't that what we live for? So make sure
the people in your life know...Life goes by way to fast! Don't regret a single moment of it.One who walks the road with love, will never walk the road alone.~ C.T. Davis
Don't worry that children never listen to you. Worry that they are always watching you.~Robert FulghumLive so that when your children think of fairness, caring and integrity, they think of you.~H. Jackson Brown, Jr.Each day we make deposits in the memory banks of our children.~Charles SwindollDon't prepare the path for the child, prepare the child for the path.
