The Fashion Kidd Kash is from New Rochelle, NY born on October 31st 1985. His family moved to Durham, NC because of money problems and they were trying to get on the right track. His siblings were split up between parents Kidd Kash has 7 brothers and 7 sisters. Not knowing what he wanted to do in life he often put time into do things that he was not suppose to do. Going back and forth between his mother and maternal grandmother things started to look good until his grandmother passed away. He often thought about killing himself until he went to school and started putting it down on paper. Thinking to himself that he could not do music alone, he then put trust into Mario ‘Mo-Sicka†Reed who thought that Kash could make it and eventually they formed the group Empire. Group members also included Tony “T-Crews†Crews, Abdul “Priceless†Russell, and Kurrell “Toon†Rice. People picked on us and then we would rip them apart in public freestyle battles and on wax with no problem says Kidd Kash. After making a name for themselves they became one of the hottest groups in Durham. People all over wanted to be a part of the group. Getting people who could rap was not a problem, Kash had to find people who where loyal to him and his situations. Empire would stumble aboard all kinds of Beef dealing with the haters’ mentality of the other rappers and they were often hated on more than being praised for their good music. So they often had to prove themselves to any and everyone. Meeting there last group member Dwight “Denero†Waterman they thought of a name that would better describe them as Empire but with a new twist and trying to start something new with the newest addition to the group they became the group “Sity Blak.†They made hits together, preformed together, and overall stayed together for about 3 1/2 years. Realizing that nothing was happening to top there success as Empire they started to fade away and drifted apart. Lost in words and ideas Kidd Kash found himself in a awkward situation. “I have never felt so alone since my grandmother passed away says Kidd Kash himself. Thinking that Sity Blak would make it to the top, when it did not happen Kidd Kash had to make changes very fast to satisfy the love and the drive that he possessed to do what he loved to do. And now he performs at many open-mics as many as possible, he often hits up the local radio stations promoting his music, and even goes as far as performing outside of Durham. He has now opened a new window for his craft as he talks to many different people as he tries to promote his performance shows and his up and coming party with plenty more to come. So Kash has found his niche so the rest is history............
