Acid Rain R.I.P

About Me

And now Ladies and Gentlemen a lovely little band from the edge of the City... ACID RAIN.
In September 2006, two young musicians (Guitarist Rob and Drummer Tom) got together to form a Punk band Named Whitethorne, They began writing songs and before long met a bass player named Ash whom joined the band from first meeting. Together the three of them formed a tight brotherly bond and a hard Punk sound however in march 2007 playing a gig they met a band called Naked Accomplice whos bass player "Shaun" (nicknamed Jesus for his appearance) they formed a tight friendship with, A relationship that would prove GREAT following Shauns exit from Naked Accomplice whom were becoming to Poppy for him. In October 2007 Rob, Tom and Ash were getting bored with the style of punk music they were playing and found a new sound of 70s classic rock (such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin) mixed with 80s metal (Such as Diamond Head, Metallica) with a modern twang of previous. Moving Ash to second guitar they were in need of a bassist and alas how Shaun was brought on board as the driving bass player...Now as a thriving four piece with dual lead guitars, Acid Rain they packed a wallop of energy into their shows while playing an ear friendly mix of Classic Rock and Metal with notable blues and Southern influences. But Alas now the time has come to call it a Day...
Bands we've shared the stage with: Take The Willing, Sinfura, The Randoms, Calamity Jam, Harvest, Enemy of Fire, Affliktion, War of Indra and more... and more to come...
