Mix an Idaho girl with The Big Apple Circus and you get a girl who loves country clouds. controlled chaos and cotton candy, a girl who plays piano for an all-girl band called The Lascivious Biddies, a girl who likes to write tunes about everything from salt to intellectuals to cobblestone streets.Deidre can be found around New York City playing at Joe's Pub, Rockwood Music Hall or Barbes. She has three jazz records out on the Sunnyside Label. "Sun is Us" features Deidre's quintet and energetic instrumental writing. "Simple Stories" adds Brazilian vocalist Luciana Souza and a children's choir to the mix.
