Don't let his young age fool you...what Hella Tight lacks in years he is quickly making up for in experience. With his unstoppable talent, energy and drive it is only a matter of time before Hella Tight becomes a household name.
Hella Tight was born in Edison, New Jersey, 20 years ago. It became clear quite early on that he was going places: at five years old, Hella moved to sao Paulo, Brazil where he spent seven crucial years of his early life soaking up the melting pot that is Brazilian lifestyle and culture.
By age 12, Hella was back in the U.S. and within one year of his return he got his first keyboard and drum machine. Hella precision-honed his craft by locking himself in his bedroom for hours on end, practicing, listening, experimenting, improving each day.
To his credit, Hella Tight has produced songs for Shock G (Digital Underground), Mopreme Shakur, JT The Bigga Figga, Napoleon (Tupac's Outlawz), Tha Realest, Swoop G, Shade Sheist, Nutt-So, and his protégé, 730. As he tells it, one of the highlights of his short career as a producer was recording the From East 2 West album in the legendary Can-Am studios, an experience he will "never forget." He produced 10 songs on From East 2 West, the collaboration album by Tha Realest and 730.
Hella Tight is currently working on several projects including Tupac Shakur's brother, Mopreme Shakur's solo album and 730's solo album. Expect to hear Hella Tight's production on several projects in 2005.
