Rochelle Price a.k.a "Deflawless Blackdiamond", was born Dec.26 on the west-side of Chicago, IL. That is just a taste of the game she was born around. As a kid Blackdiamond was involved with some of the most notorious street gangs in Chicago. At the early age of 12yrs old, she spent time in and out of juvenile homes for attempt-murder, mob-action, and batteries. Blackdiamond always had a way of finishing her education. She graduated from Michael Faraday Elementary School on the west-side of Chicago. Also, the neighborhood in which famous hip-hop rap stars like: Da Brat, Twister, Crucial Conflict, Do or Die, Psychodrama, and Snypas were from. So, with those influences and some friendships the rap game didn't get away from her.Being an honor student she attended Von Steuben one of the top high schools in Chicago. Getting kicked out in the first year of school Blackdiamond returned to the street family where she was comfortable. She started dancing at a gentleman’s club called The Admiral Theater at 16yrs old to support her-self. Giving birth to her first born at the age of 16yrs old was her way to slow down. "But, with the hot headed attitude slowing down didn't last long." Doing time in the Cook County Jail at the age of 17yrs old charged as an adult, she developed a love for rap. Female influences like Mc.Lyte, Salt&Pepa, Roxanne, Monie love, and Queen Latifah gave her the feel of the rap-game like she could do it too.Later, after a heart-breaking' conviction that landed her in Dwight Penitentiary for, First-Degree Attempt Murder in 2000. From this experience back to the bricks. Diamond decided to change some ways of hers. Still exotic dancing, and doing shows for some of the most talked about names in the industry. Diamond wanted to take what she knew about the street hustle, the strip-game, and present it from a hood-chick point of view. She also wants to stress to young mothers the importance of taking care of their children. Going to get her high school diploma along with a nursing certification, and a phlebotomy certification she needed something to fall back on.With her kids and new single status, Deflawless Blackdiamond feels well-accomplished in her life to present a debut album, that'll shock the ability of the female rap game on street status hustle and realism. So, with the release of her debut album in 2008 with songs like: "The Private Show†and "Felony". Two different styles to shake up the female rap game.
