K’Alee

About Me

____ Born Kaydene Anderson, she is setting herself to be Jamaica’s sweet heart. This smokey vocalic singer , rose to national public awareness in the year 2008 via the largest reality talent completion in Jamaica dubbed Digicel Rising Star (comparable to American Idol or Britain’s Got Talent). K’Alee began singing on the Sunday School Choir at Fellowship Apostolic Church. K’Alee became a lead singer at the tender age of 6 years old. Her musical drive and passion saw her writing songs and poems at the age of eight, which she has fostered until this day. K’Alee voiced the sentiments that, "Music is my life". Therefore at any given time when called upon she is ready and able to deliver to one or a thousand individuals, by belting various hits, whether it be Soul or Gospel. K’Alee, has been performing and entertaining her entire life, and through that very rigorous nation wide competition, has learnt in a short time, how to perform effectively and ensure her listeners are truly entertained and satisfied. K’Alee seeks her inspiration from God, and loves the joy she receives from singing and performing for others. “I love music with all my heart and that for me is undying.” This leaps into her social skills as her hobbies, revolve mostly around her, being active in singing, songwriting, poetry writing, acting and making her good friends feel special- “Oh and jus being me”. What inspired her to do music? She doesn’t know really, however she is fully cognizant of an existing love, which makes its existence very fulfilling, and whether she is singing or performing “it’s like I am in a different world. Music makes me feel free to be myself and I guess that is inspiration enough.” Being K’Alee is an adventure that most young ladies have grown to not only accept and admire, but also strive to emulate. That of being a time freak (being punctual), polite, easy going, laid back, easy to talk to, spontaneous, charismatic, straight forward, vibrant, energetic and fun- loving and organized, K’Alee stresses the fact that she “love things to be on time and to go as planned”. No time slumber or hap hazards. K’Alee acknowledges the work and dedication of those amongst her and expresses dumbfounding admiration for main stay musical icons such as: Yolanda Admas, Cece Winans, Kurt Carr, Kirk Franklin, Donald Lawrence, Alvin Slaughter, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and many others. After “wowing” television audiences both locally and internationally, via Rising Stars K’Alee finished a fourth place finalist in the 2008 Jamaica Digicel Rising Star competition, she has used that medium of exposure to flex her musical skills and muscle. K’Alee seeks now to cement and establish herself as a full fledged and serious recording artist(gospel) ____________
