Band Members: I bought a Kay acoustic for £15 when I was seventeen - it had an action like an egg slicer. Since then I have always play Yamaha guitars and I'm now the proud owner of two hand-made Yamaha Lotus guitars with dream actions. This is another Folk song from the English Tradition and features my LS16 concert guitar.
Influences: Nic Jones, Martin Carthy of course, Nancy Kerr/ James Fagan, Bob Fox, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, my Englishness, and Robert Brown, Suffolk musician extraordinaire, whose dynamism and enthusiasm for live music are to be envied. FRIENDS: PLEASE NOTE I ONLY ADD FRIENDS I HAVE MET. If that's you, then do send me an add!!
Sounds Like: Nobody, I hope, since I arrange all my music, including traditional songs to be uniquely mine and to appeal to a wide audience. Last year I did a 2-hour lunchtime concert in the Hot Waves Cafe, Hot Water Beach. Not one of the patrons was a 'folkie', but it still received a wonderful reception. This is a tune I wrote during the after-gig celebration and for reasons entirely to do with alcohol, I called it Wobby Legs ...............FOR BOOKING ENQUIRIES email: [email protected]
