Texas Laws Can't Hold Me Down!

About Me

White Chocolate, Dub C, Mississippi Bad Boy, whatever you want to call him he's still a force to be reckoned with in underground rap, along with his co-founder of The Congregation Of The Streets King Tut. A rapper and slowed & chopped DJ from Mississippi, Dub was born in 1986 and grew up in corrupt and drug infested Shannon, Mississippi. Growing up, he made honor roll and even attended gifted classes. At the age of 13, he watched his father die, just a year after watching his grandfather die, which destroyed his motivation and led him to a life of drugs, money, and problems. In the early '00's he started recording music he had written down on an old "boom box" style tape recorder with a mic plug in, which led him to finally getting turntables & a computer he could slow & chop music with along with recording his songs. He formed So Ghetto Records in the late 90's-early '00's and co-founded The Congregation Of The Streets with King Tut. He has surpassed many obstacles, but Dub says "Everything that's happened to me just makes me write better". He has released 1 LP, 2 EP's, and 4 mixtapes of his own material, along with numerous slowed & chopped mixtapes. With no major deal or promotion doubled with off and on recording and relatively few to none radio friendly songs he remains a local rapper & slowed & chopped DJ but has successfully spread his music throughout the world via the internet. He is currently lost in the music scene, "My equipment ain't working and all the money I could'a fixed it with is gone from these Texas laws fuckin with me" but has big plans for coming back in 2009, he plans to record two records, a solo called "The Low Life Vol I: I Ain't Ya Role Model", and a collaboration release with the second half of Congregation Of The Streets King Tut, the album name is still to be announced. Dub plans to push himself to the limit, saying "You know the old shit was bangin, this new shit just gon blow y'all mind". Look out for him: He might just be the next big name in the rap industry.
