THE KRYSTAL PALACE
TRAVISBorn and raised in the Texas Hill Country, Travis Wayne Lyles grew up an avid outdoorsman and dedicated athlete. In high school he began to teach himself the guitar as a hobby and past time to entertain friends. After high school he attended Texas A&M University as an Agriculture major and music minor, and his guitar hobby became a passion. While at A&M he was selected to study flat-picking blue grass under Kevin Patton and classical guitar under virtuoso Issac Bustos.

Travis moved to the panhandle to study Commercial Music at South Plains College where he is a double major in Voice and Guitar Immediately upon arriving at South Plains he was selected for one of locally broadcast TV shows, Country Jukebox, and his career as a vocalist began. At South Plains he has studied jazz improvisation under Emily Wheeler, blues under Steve Williams and speech level singing with Mickie Vasquez and Cary Banks. Travis’ musical journal that he calls “a diary on 6 stings†is a culmination of his work as a songwriter. He has sold his music to other recording artists such as Mountain Shine and Zero Shift, but claims the rest for himself and the fans that know him as the lead singer of The Saloon GypsiesMONTE
Monte Ebeling, a native of West Texas, with a background in classical piano as well as country and rock, has been playing keyboards since he was 7 years old. Beginning his career in small garage bands Monte was touring with top forty country acts just a few years later and is a true lover of today’s Texas Music Scene.
..The energy and versatility that Monte brings to his music is evident in every song he plays with the Saloon Gypsies, from Johnny Cash to 80’s rock to Stevie Ray Vaughn. Not at all surprising since he has played with acts such as Shane Rogers, Wade Bowen and Harry Connick Jr., and opened for some of the greats, to include: Willie Nelson, Reckless Kelly, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Pat GreenADAM GREENWOOD
Adam Greenwood originally from Haskell, Texas spent his high school years in Abilene. He grew up in a musical family and began jamming with his father and other family members at the young age of twelve. So it followed that South Plains College of Commercial Music was an obvious choice for his post secondary education. Adam dedicated himself to becoming an accomplished lead guitarist and knew nothing but studying music for the next eight semesters! He gained experience playing in numerous school ensembles and in South Plains’s audition-only ensemble, Thursday Night Live, broadcast weekly on local TV. At age 19 Adam was already touring with professional bands throughout Texas, New Mexico and Colorado.Adam says with there are only two ways to blend country and rock – one way is with a background in blues and the other way is not even worth mentioning!! His soulful music with The Saloon Gypsies is true testimony that his theory is right. His formal training with South Plain instructors Steve Williams and John Hartin have strongly influenced his talent and his style as have such greats as Billy Gibbons, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Cody Canada.STEPHEN
