.... A litle bit about me... I was born in Venezuela 1987, and entered into the music since I was 11 year old, but I really loved music when I started playing guitar 4 years later. I started very soft playing some rythem guitar of pop rock bands. Then i went heavier, when I started listening music from Metallica, Iron Maiden. I was 16 and I just loved it. I met my best friend that also plays guitar and we were straight up improvizing, learning new scales, new musical vision. Thats when Dream Theater came to us. We where blasted, it was just unreal. Being in high school, two friends Itamar Di Marco and Juan Jose, fundated our first rock band.. We called AK-47... I was playing bass guitar. We just had the chemistry of improvizing, all instrumental, it sound like Joe Satriani style. I also played guitar with a few other metal bands. The band went getting biger and biger and we represente the backgraund music on many shows for many singers. We introduce into the band a singer and composed few songs that let us into the studio, and radio. Now we where all graduated from high school. We changed the name from AK-47 to CPM... don't ask what does that means..
.... Wen we were recording first song, I had to leave the country and move up to Canada. that was on april 30, 2005. Sadness, happiness, adventure, exiting... i dont know what i was feeling... but it was wierd. It was good because i could study what I always wanted, Sound Engineering, also my country is fucked up, no security, no stable economy, the president doing whatever he wants to... But it was the sour, painful, sad moment in my whole life... leave what i had already built, my friends, family... Any ways, I always faced up, even in those moments that I felt like I culdn't make it. I went into high school once again, two years to get my diploma. I met alot of friends being there, but no one into the rock metal wave I am into. We were a big group chilling arround always. But then, from arround 15 people, we were now like 8. I dont know what happend, many left back to their country, some other just left the group, some were graduted.. There was less fun for sure. Finally whe were all graduated. I starte liking the girl that is now my girlfriend. It was very hard to trust on each other, but here we are together since 30 july 2006. She was very helpful for the step I was going to, and she is all I needed. I really thanks her alot for keeping me up, away from giving all up, my inspiration to continue fighting for what I wanted.
.... I never let my guitar for more than a week. Always practicing, practicing and practicing.. My spoken inglish got improved, but still, it sucks.. Some times it keeps me away from what I want and that really bothers me. Finally, with my parents suport and my own, I applyed in Metal Works Institute, to study Audio Engineering and Show Production Major. Thats when I got my Mac. I never used a Mac before, not even a recording program. I started playing arround with Garage Band and figuring out how it works, recording guitar, keys, bass, editting drums, and I came out with many songs, 5 of them posted above. Many people were really impresed that I could get that sound out of Garage Band, and I really didnt knew it until an Apple store trainer got amaized of my work, he said..."you better buy Logic Pro, your gonna have so much fun".... that was a really exiting experience.. then many others said similar things.
