Which Minor Greek Goddess Are You? (pictures)
brought to you by Quizilla
You're Psyche, the Goddess of the Soul.
Psyche wasn't originally a goddess. She was born a normal human being - though an exceptionally beautiful one - who was envied by the goddess of beauty herself (Aphrodite), who decided to get back at her only true rival by making her fall in love with the ugliest creature on earth. Howeve, when Eros, the love god who was assigned with task, was about to shoot her with an arrow which would make her immediately fall in love with the first creature she saw, he accidentally hurt himself with it and fell in love with Psyche. He began to visit her every night in the dark never allowing her to see his face, which was fine with Psyche until her jealous sisters made her believe that her mystery lover was actually a terrible monster. The next time he came around and fell asleep, she lit an oil lamp to see him accidentally waking him up, after which Eros left her and never came back. Psyche couldn't just forget him so she started to look for him in all the corners of the earth until she finally found herself in Aphrodite's temple. The Goddess promised to take her to Eros if she would do a series of impossible-sounding tasks, all which she performed with the aid of the forces of nature, until she was finally assigned to take a box of beauty to the mistress of the underworld. Just when she was about to succeed, Psyche's curiosity won her over and she peeked at the box to regain her worn beauty only to realize that the grudgeful Aphrodite had given her a box of death which killed her. Then Eros, who had secretly witnessed her struggles, saved his true love and turned her into a goddess - the goddess of the soul. She was portrayed as a beautiful girl with butterfly wings on her back.
You're friendly, persistent, and helpful. It's hard not to like you because you're very trusting and kind to everyone. Your soft exterior might imply that you're weak, but the truth is that you're incredibly strong inside and ready to do anything for the ones you love.
