My Interests

I guess my main interest at this point of my life is having fun. I don't have any serious responsibilities except for work, so I am pretty selfish. I like to go out with friends, pretty much to pubs or to see live music or to a ballgame. Similar to every other selfish 20-something without a spouse. Besides that though, I enjoy spending time with my family, mainly my niece and new nephew, I read on occassion, go to movies, run, and shop. I would like enough money to be able to travel more often, but its not something I do currently (I can't consider Vegas travelling). But it is an interest I intend to pursue, therefore worth mentioning!

I'd like to meet:

Music:

This is ever-changing in regards to my favorite. So I will mention the few that never leave their top status: Of course, The Beatles. If you know me, you know how deep my unhealthy obsession goes. Some other faves include Wilco, The Strokes, Dave Matthews, Modest Mouse, Stones, Ryan Adams, Built to Spill, The Duo, Coldplay, Eric Clapton, The Shins, Ray Lamontagne, The Thermals, Ringside, My Morning Jacket, Blue October, Raconteurs, and my guilty pleasure, OAR. Can't believe I admitted that... But I also in general love jazz, blues and the original oldies, like Frank & Dean.

Movies:

Easy one! Top two: The Graduate and Rushmore. I love Wes Anderson movies (Life Aquatic, Royal Tenebaums). And Cohen Brothers movies, like O Brother, Big Lebowski, Hudsucker Proxy, Fargo... I was always pretty much anti-Sandra Bullock movies, especially Miss Congeniality. But she was just in Crash, which was a great one, so maybe I'll have to rent Two if By Sea and give her another shot. Or not.

Television:

I love watching Grey's Anatomy, Entourage, The OC, Laguna Beach (I know! I'd cringe too...) and most sports. Poker is not a sport, despite the fact that it is on ESPN, and I really don't enjoy watching other people play cards.

Books:

Okay, I lied. I don't really read. It doesn't make me stupid, just lazy. TV is so much easier!

Heroes:

Scottie. And of course, my mother.
