The Chrome Kickers are Clevelands hardest hitting street punk band. Playing with their faces to the grind stone and thrashing out against all who claim to be true sons and daughters of rock, but fail to realize that having a spine is an asset. Some call them brutal, others call them insane, but the Chrome Kickers are true sons of punk. The Chrome Kickers feature former members of the Plague, Agitated, Dissidents, and the Defnics, as well as the son of Cleveland Punk legend Bill "Robert Conn" DeGidio of Pagan's infamy!

Cleveland Scene Review "What happens when the Atomic Punks detonate? You get the mushroom cloud of misanthropy that is the Chrome Kickers. Featuring a former member of the Punks and four other scene vets who've done time with such luminaries as the Defnics, the Pink Holes, and the Plague, the Chrome Kickers sweat out Cleveland street punk at its finest. Guttural, ill-tempered, and harder going down then a shot of Wild Turkey, the Kickers are a blur of curled lips and bloody knuckles. "Teeth are missing every fucking where," guitarist C.W. DeGidio exclaims on a self-made live disc the band passed along to us. "Who gives a fuck? They're only teeth," he then adds, as the Kickers tear into another one."- Soundbites "Fresh Faces for '03" by Jason Bracelin (week of Dec. 25-31, 2002 pg. 55)
Uttertrash.net review
The Chrome Kickers – ‘Live’ (self released) Four veterans of the Cleveland music scene and one relative newcomer join forces to deliver this solid live set of classic punk. No saccharine sweet choruses, no happy lyrics. None of the rough edges have been smoothed over. No compromises have been made in the name of political correctness. This is the sort of sneering, ugly, in your face music that defined punk before crap like Blink 182 came along. Old school fans will no doubt enjoy songs like “Nazi Submarine” and their ode to moshing, “The Pit”. In especially bad taste, and one of the best songs on here, is “Arthur Noski” about a kid from Parma who was killed and put in an incinerator by his parents. Yeah, it’s sick, but punk is supposed to be sick. It sure as hell isn’t supposed to be about going to Hot Topic with your girlfriend. This disc sounds like it was taken direct from a sound board mix, so the recording does have its limitations. Still, for music like this you don’t want too much polish. This should do nicely until these guys get around to making a studio recording. (Bob Ignizio)
