About Me

I'm Ellen, or Keldo, or any of a wide and varied number of nicknames depending on who you are and how well you know me.
Well somehow I seem to have largely achieved my dream of working in radio. I'm currently the producer of Drivetime with Rhys and Eggsy, and Music:Response with Colin Francies on Xfm South Wales, the brand new addition to the Xfm empire. If you're in a local and unsigned band, get onto the website, xfmsouthwales.co.uk and put some tracks on our Uploaded section - you might get a play on the station, and could even go on to play a gig for us! What've you got to lose?
Other things: I'm a huge advocate of sesquipedalianism and enjoy sarcasm, interesting flavoured shots, film, TV I should probably have grown out of, standing in a dingy venue watching a band strut their stuff, and judging people by their choice of footwear.
I have a great boyfriend, but we have to spend a lot of time apart which is really hard. He's pretty damn special though.
I don't really like sweets, combine this with my crippling fear of beans and the fact I didn't like pizza as a child and you've got that weird kid who was hard to feed at birthday parties.

I'm becoming increasingly obsessed with this man:
I can't get enough of this ad, rediscovered when I stumbled across the awful truth that apparently 18 months is enough of an age gap for Rob not to remember it...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

See below... People into music for the right reasons, people who can further my career in music / radio! The evil creator of baked beans (or any living relative will do) so I can torture them until they agree the best use for the remainder of their life is to serve me as my full-time wench.

I might be slightly in awe of this woman

Makes good music

As if I need to explain!

My Blog

Music and a moan

There are 2 main things on my mind. Firstly, I've got a lyric from the Lupin Crook album swimming round and round my head that I can't stop mulling over: "Don't light your candles for the dead, It's u...

I hadn't even had cheese before bed...

Rob and I may have been going out for nearly a year, but I'm nowhere near ready to live with the boy, so I was pretty glad when I realised that I had only dreamt that I lived with him and Pennie in so...

Self-indulgent rant

I hate when things that are completely out of your control screw up and throw a spanner in the works. It can be something as minor as someone not being able to show up at something you've planned, but...

Tales of London living...

Tis true, I have upped sticks for a little while and am currently residing in London and sleeping in Miss Sharples' bed (cosy!)   The reason? Work experience on the breakfast show at XFM! After a...

My long-lost months

I haven't got round to writing one of these for so long I have no idea what's filled up all my time since the last one, this therefore, will probably turn into a rambling sequence of "significant even...
