BOMBEROS [ in studio soon ]

About Me

Somewhere between Prudhoe Bay and San Benedetto del Tronto, fueled by a common passion for brutal grind and trash comedy, armed with intense logical laziness and nonsensical humour, a lame drum machine, three pseudo-Hispanic nicknames and a handful of movie clips, a trio rumored to feature members of CORPSEFUCKING ART and BLASPHEMOPHAGHER got together in mid 2001. The spanish word for 'firemen' as displayed on a popular videogame suggested their monicker BOMBEROS. Their intent was to record a bunch of songs as a homage to the mighty MORTICIAN, a band all three members were sharing their passion for. This happened in Summer 2002 under the supervision of Maorisound Studios mastermind Scott Burps, and in a few hours five original compositions, four harsh noise deliria and one Napalm Death cover made up the "Better an Egg Today... Than a Chair Tommorrow" demo. This offering circulated in the DIY underground in the form of a solo CDR and the "Italian Grindcore Mattanza" 4-way CDR with three fellow countrymen and brothers in crime ATRESIA, MALKAVIAN and RECTO RECTORS. Also, BOMBEROS beach hit "Write Them" was featured as last of the 33 tracks making up the "The Saw Is the Law" compilation. As expected, any response they could get from network press and webzines was in many ways controversial, and even got some metal babies pissed off by the iconoclastic message one could figure out by reading all the song titles in a row. Oh well, so much the worse for them. As the deals for their contribution to a Meat Shits tribute and the "Brutalmageddon II" release fell apart in 2004, BOMBEROS took some more time off and began to consider a full-length album. In the meantime, they decided to return with a new split release, this time with Colombian brutal heads INBREEDING SICK. BOMBEROS side will feature some new songs which were supposed to appear on their deleted releases, plus re-recorded tracks from their debut demos and some more hilarious covers. Expect some more extreme stupidity in 2006!
