SoulShark

SoulSharks bassist Jens and lead-guitarist Michael used to play in a commercial band, called Scream, where Michael played the drums. Scream existed for around three years. The members worked hard, and in return were able to give a few performances. After some time, Michael and Jens felt that they wanted to move on from commercial songs. Since their playlist included songs such as "I will survive", "Summer of 69", "Son of a Preacher man", Limb Bizkits "MI2", etc. they decided to start another band.
So, members were needed. Michael had one and a half years experience in playing the guitar, so he was chosen as the lead guitarist. Jens still stuck to his bass. Now they needed a drummer and after a while, they finally found one: Timothy. For the vocals, a friend of Michael who lived around his neighbourhood, who had played guitar together with Michael before, said he could arrange the vocals. And not much later, there was SoulShark. Timothy (drums) lived a few miles away, so they decided to jam a bit with Michael, Johan and Jens first. And that's what they did. The result: 4 Brand new songs, written from the heart.
After 1 year inactivity (due to Michaels trip to china) SoulShark decided to accept Mathias as the new drummer. Jens knew Mathias from a Jam-band he used to play with. Since then 10 songs have been developed. SoulShark varies from rock, over metal, to acoustic rock. They have played some cover songs such as "Seek and destroy", “Little Sister”, "Kryptonite", "Dani California", "No one knows", etc. But after 1 year Mathias decided to leave the band.
And after 3 weeks Gertjan was accepted as the new drummer of the band. After some serious *aheum, sarcasm* band meetings, the four of us decided to go more metal. Yeah, that's right. From now on, SoulShark is bringing you a lot heavier stuff.
After a long (and exhausting) period of browsing Myspace, Google and several other websites, we FINALLY found the man we needed: Kristof. His voice suited our music in a very special way, as you can hear we bring you guys very unique songs, combined with Kristof's very clean voice... We're getting ready for some tight gigs!
