888 is about change: the art of war.
political, social... etc... we need change. The first time it was called 1 1 1 for January 1st, 2001. The second year it was called 2 2 2 for February 2, 2002. On its 8th year it will be called 8 8 8 for August 8, 2008.
Each year Yeghia Tchakmakian presents an evening of music, poetry, spoken word, painting, live music, performances, projection, video, and film.
Since January 1st, 2001 this art show has celebrated art for art's sake. From its inception the show was a huge success, drawing in dozens of artists and just over a hundred attendees. At 6 6 6, over 300 people arrived to find an entire house transformed into a work of art. This year we anticipate at least 700 guests. Art connoisseurs, music aficionados, young professionals, business executives, and film lovers will all join together to appreciate one another's work in an atmosphere of fun and sophistication.
