September 13th 2008 is the brainchild of Fiona Scrase, Steve Crow and Steve Flower aka Steve Crow and his crew who host the riotous radio programme on DGH Eastbourne. They thought it would be a great idea to gather together some of their favourite artists who emerged on the music scene during the 1980s and sometimes beyond !!.and put on a concert , this is it . . They negotiated a deal with the Eastbourne Winter Gardens and set about contacting a whole host of stars who have agreed to perform on the night in order to raise awareness and money for The Muscular Distrophy Campaign under the banner "80s Live". it's going to be something like a virtual top of the pops 2 programme !! Brilliant eh ? Since the initial idea the event has gathered momentum and will now incorporate an acoustic cafe event during the day featuring up and coming artistes and an aftershow club night featuring top name DJs and PAs from some of the leading lights on the dance scene. The ultimatum is...be there or be square!!
