VernoMAXX

About Me

VernoMAXX is the audible machination on one, REMINGTON!. Its an idea born of sound and design. Whether the design leads to sound first, or if the sounds create the imagery is yet unknown. There is a specific purpose in mind. A specific goal is to be reached. Yet, deadlines are getting pushed back.
The things I do here are a compilation of a few methods; cut&paste, RemiMIX, Trashion, complex simplicity, and cell-shaded imagery. Visually and audibly nauseating, technically pleasing. I borrow, I take, I steal, and I create. I always give credit where credit is due. It just may take a while.
I'm constantly putting something to paper/computer. Some people don't get/understand what I do/why I do it. I hear, "I don't see the point?" and "WTF is this supposed to be?" and "Um... yeah... Okay?" I don't really care though. I do it for me. I particularly love it. It changes and evolves and grows just as I do. I think I've come a good long way from making beats on my PlayStation.
It's a good thing. Martha Stewart says so. =]

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: REMINGTON!

I'm the only one. I do it all. I use Yamaha YPT-400, Casio SK-1, another small Casio, Ibanez electric 6-string, Alvarez acoustic-electric 6-string, RubberDuck bass synthisizer, DrumStation drum synth, MJ Studio, and Reason. I do edits/mixing in NeoSound FX; it works for me (if you noticed, the last few things are all freeware programs, i'm broke).
Influences: Everything I've ever listened to/heard has influenced me. I could put a ginormus list of DJs and electro and rock acts and be all pretentious about it, but I'm not gonna; too much typing. Although, some big influences... BJORK! for one. Vitalic, Smashing Pumpkins, NIN...
Sounds Like: I'll be the first to admit it; my music does seem a bit sophomorish and amatuerish. And it is. I haven't been doing this very long, retrospectively. Me and my music continue to grow and change like everything else. If I like something while I'm dickin' around, I'll record it. I'm limited in the equipment I have and have access to. I try not to let that hold me back.
