K.O.

Born into a city of drama, drugs and murder during the mid '80s, K.O. looked to those closest to him at an early age. Raised without a father, K.O.'s mother tried to raise him and his siblings alone But his desire for money would drive him to the block. Which was one of the most drug active streets in the detroit area, Lenox Ave. There, K.O. stepped up to get his rep, grinding to get a fortune, the the loss of his 3 year step father and the birth of his son put things in perspective K.O. began to pursue rap seriously. He signed with a independent label out of detroit and began learning his trade. Unfortunately, caught up in industry limbo, there wasn't much the label could do for K.O. That's when hip-hop history was written. The rap style and swagger of K.O. caught the ear of Independent label Swat Legion and within a week K.O. was in the studio recording the solo effort Target Practice which includes the the club hits "Like me" and "Bag back.'' During the recording of the album the struggle continued, losing his job and his house he still managed to complete the album which he relied on to carry him out the lifestlye he was living. However K.O. didn't let the opportunity escape him and quickly released the anticipated album ''Target Practice'' The CD featured multi tracks, "Change of heart," which was certainly not intended for radio, cought the ears of the ladies and they couldn't get enough but the streets couldn't wait for the hood anthem burna on my hip.
