Soooo....Dr Robotnik. Where'd this bloke come from, why's he after our Sonic, and how exactly did he come to look egg shaped? All perfectly simple, my friends. Dr Robotnik was once actually a friendly scientist named Doctor Ovi Kintobor. He worked secretley in a hillside in the Green Hill Zone. Sonic stumbled upon this matter when he burrowed into the hillside, trying to find a place to hide from his friends while playing Hide and Seek. The Doctor and Sonic became the best of buddies, and Sonic soon learned of this scientists ambitions. He intented to rid Mobius of all evil, and to do so, had built a machine named the (Now, hold your breath; this is a mouthful): Retro Orbital Chaos Compressor, which could attract and transfer evil gathered from Mobius from one object to another. He planned to store all the evil in the six Chaos Emeralds (Yes, this is how they got their name). To make the machine stable while the evil was being transferred, powerful Gold Rings were used, which Kintobor placed into the ROCC. He managed to transfer most of the planet's evil into the emeralds, when he discovered the evil power itself was very unstable. To make the Emeralds safe, Kintobor needed the seventh, grey Chaos Emerald to balance the forces. One day, Sonic went to Kintobor's lab and was rather hungry, so decided to check out Kintobor's fridge. He found inside a really rotten egg, and baffled, he went to Kintobor, who was busily typing, to see it. He took hold of the egg, and while observing it, made a wrong calculation. This caused the machine to malfunction, and explode, sending the seven Chaos Emeralds, and many Rings, scattering across Mobius. He, and the egg he was holding, were zapped, and he then became Doctor Ivo Robotnik, and took the shape of the rotten egg. From there onwards, it was no more Mr Nice Guy, and Robotnik set out to try and rule the world of Mobius, but there was a problem, in the form of a certain blue hedgehog, who knew all of the Doctors secrets...This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
