Elise Davis

Elise Davis began singing and writing songs at the age of 12 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Greatly influenced by her junior high school music teacher (Mr. Scott Sides), Elise began to write and sing in small groups of other students, and along with a few formed a band known as the Sandbox Lizards, which performed at some notable local Little Rock venues. In Feb. 2006 the band was selected as a semi-finalist in the Arkansas Showcase, a competition for the best new bands in Arkansas sponsored by the Arkansas Times. "Elise Davis was the star attraction .... (her) acoustic guitar songs especially made an impression on the judges." ARKANSAS TIMES 2/16/06. In June of 2006, Elise joined with a group of local musicians to produce her debut solo album, "Love and Leaving". In August 2007 Elise produced a new CD - "Just Like Sugar" with 7 new songs. In the following months after finishing the songs for "Just Like Sugar", Elise decided to move from Dallas to Fayetteville. Through the many changes in her life over that year, she has spent her time writing new music and playing solo acoustic shows in local venues. In June 2008, Elise completed her first 12 song full length album "Another Lonesome Romance". In 2009 Elise performed with her band at Little Rock's annual Riverfest Music Festival, alongside many well-known national acts. Elise is currently playing in venues around Little Rock and Fayetteville while completing a degree in English at the University of Arkansas. She has also begun playing with new bandmates Jordan Trotter, Trevor Ware, and Joshua Tate. They are in the process of writing and recording her fourth album which is expected to be released in early 2010. Keep checking this site for more updates!
