Shawn Pickens aka HOLOMANN Tha Govanah of East Cleveland Performer, Writer, Lyricists, CEO of D.V.P. Entertainment, Video Jockey GMSRADIO.COM,Talent ScoutAt the early age of 9 young Shawn Pickens was writing poetry, As well as being in a dance group with his brother and cousin. It wasn't until the age of 13, After getting kicked out of the dance group, he picked up a mic and tape recorder and began to turn towards something he wanted to do, rap. He formed along with his brother Brian(P-nut) and cousin Walter(Salty Walt) the teenage group BROTHERS OF THE HILL(B.O.H.) which was managed by his aunt Tedia. With the guidance of legendary promoter Silver B and neighborhood producer L.A. Ron, they did shows everywhere throughout the city. Recording two smash hit singles "Eyez of a killa" and "Paranoid" hopeing B.O.H. would find a promising hiphop career. Adding a fourth member in 1996 would lead to the group's breakup due to creative differences.Now known as Holo-kasut young Shawn found his way into hiophop, doing shows solo, which was different without his band members. In 1998 he and long time friend Alex founded the super-group Stonehenge Armada. With 50 members it was hard to contain and control the Armada so they decided to scout for a manager and found Donald Craig of U.R.B.N. Entertainment. He singned five consistant members including Holo-kaust. They recorded "RELAFACTZ" in 1999 with Holo-kaust lead single "Stand Clear". Unfortunately after a conflict of interest the group broke up.In 2000 now known as Holomann recorded his first solo album "Thieveland Warriorz" on Don's imprint label. Just for recognition Holomann passed out 300 copies to the streets. Adapting a fierce battle-style flow, he would battle anybody anywhere from th estreets to bars and clubs to the stage of the Hi-Fi Club where in 2006 he won the Real Nigga Award given to him by legendary battle rapper Suave Goddi of GMSRADIO.COM for protecting Cleveland's hiphop reputation when some out of towners tried to challenge the 216 ability to battle.(2007)Determined to be the best Holomann still battles everywhere. His own D.V.P. Entertainment sponsors hood parties and open -mic sessions around the city. His second album "MOVIN TARGETZ" will be in stores late 2007 on Devastation Records. Holomann has a mix-tape coming soon entitiled "WARNING SHOTZ(BEST OF HOLOMANN)", and he's working hard on what he calls his last local solo album "Tha Begining Of Tha End Iz Near!!!"
