Stone Blizzard

Conosciuti come Brisbane si formano nel 2001 e facevano già parte della line up Tommy(chitarra ritmica e cori), Iggy Chris (batteria) e Alessandro Tassini (basso e voce, ora nei Renegade) con l’intento di creare un gruppo hard rock anni 70/80 con forti influenze NWOBHM Registrano due demo cd, suonano in locali underground fiorentini e partecipano alla selezione di San Remo Rock 2003 presentando il brano “When You Come”. Nel 2004 entra nel gruppo Mr. Dry (chitarra solista e cori). Sono stati fatti altri concerti sempre nei locali underground fiorentini. Nel 2006 entrano nel progetto Alex (basso e cori) e Jack (voce e chitarra acustica) ed il monicker viene cambiato in Stone Blizzard. Nel 2007 viene registrato …At Least comprendente i brani “Bad News From The Rising Sun”; “Jeckyll’n’Hide” e “Comin’home”. Riceve ottime recensioni su Eutk.net e Truemetal.it Inizia nello stesso anno l’attività live con la partecipazione al Soria Rock a Pesaro. Il 2008 viene in gran parte dedicato ai concerti tra cui: Keller Platz, Controsenso (serata Metallo Fuso organizzata dal Granducato di Metallo), Raduno American Cars Club, Red House (Pesaro), Dress Code, Exenzia (organizzata da Metalmillenim, recensita su artist&bands.org) Sempre nel 2008 viene registrato il singolo “When You Come” tuttora nel palinsesto di alcune radio locali delle Marche. Al momento il gruppo è in procinto di registrare altro materiale e riprendere a settembre l’attività live.Known as Brisbane the band was born in 2001 with Tommy (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Iggy Chris (drums) and Alessandro Tassini (bass guitar and voice, now with Renegade) as former members. The purpose was about to create a 70/80’s hard rock band with NWOBHM influences. Two demo cds were recorded and several gigs were played in florentine underground hall. In 2003 the band takes part to the San Remo Rock selection introducing the song “When You Come”. In 2004 Mr. Dry (lead guitar and backing vocals) joins the band. In the same year other gigs were played in Florence. In 2006 Alex (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Jack (voice and acustic guitar) join the band and the monicker is changed in Stone Blizzard. In 2007 the songs “Bad News From The Rising Sun”, “Jeckyll’n’Hide” and “Comin’home” were recorded and the new demo cd “...At Least” issued. It was well reviewed on Eutk.net and Truemetal.it websites. In the same year the live activity with the new line up begins with the participation to the Soria Rock festival in Pesaro. 2008 was dedicated to the concerts. Many gigs were played like at Keller Platz (Prato); Controsenso (Metallo Fuso night organized by Granducatodimetallo.it); American Cars Club gathering; Red House (Pesaro); Dress Code and Exenzia (organised by Metalmillenium, review on artist&bands.org) In 2008 the single “When You Come” was recorded and is still running in some Marche’s radios program. Now the band is going to record new material e to start a new concert season in september.
