I was born in Pittsburgh in 1982, but I spent 12 years of my life in West Africa, in the countries of Burkina Faso and Cote d'Ivoire (the Ivory Coast). I now live in the Atlanta area, south of the city.
My parents are missionaries in West Africa (currently in Burkina Faso).
My life in Africa was way different from anything that normal people in any country experience. I went to boarding school with a bunch of other missionaries' kids, and we formed our own little crazy culture based around our very peculiar circumstances (though we had no idea that anything of the sort was happening at the time and weren't really terribly conscious of how strange our lives were).
Living in America is weird for me. Living in Africa would, at this point, probably be even worse. It's a strange situation, but it's a strange life.
Since my permanent return to America in summer 2000, I have taken classes at IUP as an English major, been a worthless vagabond, worked at Wal-Mart, worked at Ritz Camera, gotten a B.S. from LaRoche College in Communications Media & Technology, worked at an Assisted Living home, worked in the backroom at Target, and most importantly, gotten married to Joanna (Jodi).
I met Jodi in 2002. We both worked at Wal-Mart and we eventually became good friends. I really woke up and started to understand life a little bit (a process that continues) because of Jodi. She challenges me to be better than what I am now, to look at things from a different angle and understand how others view things.
She's a strong-willed angel who beams out the Love of God to you from her startling green eyes but will scold you like you're a naughty child if you're out of line. She's wonderful and I love her very, very much.
You are Lateralus. You are unique, intelligent, and
most importantly, an individual. You are
probably a leader and you see and do things
your own way, which is usually different from
the norm. We expect big things to come from
you.
What Tool song are you?
