Crow Flies

I moved from the great state of Tennesse up to Colorado in 2006 to start a new job. A few months later i was down on the corner of Wahsatch and Colorado pouring my paycheck into the jukebox, and down my throat. I chose my big move song, "Stroke" by Billy Squire, and started laying it on thick to the only girl in the bar. Moments later a scraggely lookin' fella walks up and says that i ought to leave his wife alone. I told him i didn't believe him, that there was "no way she'd a married a homeless dude." The girl giggled. When the fella punched me in the teeth i had just enough time to notice on his hand was a stamp from the same Willy Whitmore show i had seen the night before. I woke up covered in beer, and the scraggely stranger standing over me with an empty pitcher in his hand. "You alright?" he asked. "Yeah i guess." I replied as he helped me up. We sat down at the bar and I ordered a pitcher and two shots of Whiskey. We drank for a few hours, talked alot about music (mostly Phil Collins and the Eagles), and decided we should start a band.......... Crow Flies
