VOODOO TRAIN
I wrote this song 1999 short time before we had the eclipse of the sun. recorded live 2009 with EAT IT playing a real voodoo guitar. this is magic.
KILLER
a little bit strange b.long song recorded on the 2005 EAT IT cd "one two three" with HENSEN and b.long both singing the lead vocals.
WHAT
written by b.long, guitarscreaming and processing different electronic units in 2002, using the time he couldn..t find adequate musicians. this one will probably be on the next EAT IT cd release.
BITCHES ON HEAT
written by bassgott, b.long and t.tom. one of the most famous psychedelic songs of the 1999 EAT IT band. b.long and bassgott sharing the lead vocals. recorded on a fucking portable 2 track tape deck.
CAT CRAWLING BLUES
yeah, this one is one of my first songs - a hard fuckin psychedelic hardcore blues, live performed by the 1999 EAT IT formation. on some shows we did it for more than 30 minutes...
RAINFALL
written by hensen who sang all the vocal parts, played rhythm guitar and did the percussion, with b.long jamming the lead guitar only on one afternoon.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
THE SEVENTIES
b.long started playing guitar by teaching himself on an old and bad western acustic. half a year later he played the electric rhythm guitar in his first rockgroup "rhapsody", beginning to write his own songs. out of that a new fusion- and jazzrock band formated, called "ikarus", that gave b.long the chance to try his exceptional and long running solos for the first time.
at the same time he had a little acustic folk project with hensen.
both formations did some live performances when ikarus separated because of musical differences. b.long and hensen founded the new artrock band "to apeiron" which existed only a few month.
THE EIGHTIES
thinking that he would never be able to play the guitar approximatly as good as his declared idol jimi hendrix, b.long stopped making music for about ten years
THE NINETIES
a new attempt to play guitar (again without a teacher) b.long restarts sessions with his favourite drummer from the past - t.tom. with t.nawrath aka bassgott on the bassguitar and b.long starting singing (screaming) they founded the rockband EAT IT which b.long in different cases kept on running the last years (more details about the story of eat it see the blog above).
UNTIL NOW
the actual EAT IT formation stands for acoustic and electric blues and rock at its best performed by a solid grooving rhythm section that gives b.long the space and freedom for his outrageous real hot guitar improvisations.
but there are also different sounds as heard in killer or rainfall, bitches on heat and what (above in the playlist), expanding musical horizons.
