Darnell grew up in the church surrounded by musical talent in his family including, grandparents, aunts, uncle, brothers, and many more. Music played a big part in his family. Darnell has been singing and playing music in the church since the age of 12. Writing music at a young age made him realize he had the gift. He currently resides in Rockland, MA and was recently married to his beautiful wife in 2006.In the year 2007, Darnell started to pursue his calling as a gospel singer/songwriter. He is currently working with one of Boston's own talented musician/producer, Adonis Martin. Darnell's upcoming album, "IT'S MY TIME" is due to release in 2009. The title of this album "IT'S MY TIME" came about because he feels he has been hiding long enough and believes if he doesn't use his gift now, he has failed his purpose that God has placed him on earth to do."I am hoping my music inspires the heart of lost souls. I believe my purpose is to minister through music. God has given me the gift, now sky's the limit".
