I was born Gergely Komáromy in Budapest in 1983. Raised in GödöllÖ now livin in Budapest. I study sociology at ELTE, hopefully finishing sometime...
I began dealin with music seriously at di age a 16: startin to play di drums and percussion, cause riddim was always movin mi endlessly, and african music and jazz and world music and other tings based strongly on di livin vibes of groovin rhytm really interested mi.Then i started to listen to reggae music, but it just became the main part of my life right after i joined Riddim Colony in 2005...as a percussionist. After a while i began to write lyrics, melodies and chants. I started to sing seriously in 2006 - also in the ÉGIGÉRÖ Gospel Choir. Since then i've been doing lead singing in RIDDIM COLONY (for some time mc JZA and Jr Brown did singin with us as well), dat became kinda my family, and dat is the central part of my life now. With the band we are doin many gigs, and have performed in a lotta clubs, and at a lotta fests (also started to play outside Hungary, like at ROTOTOM FEST (Italy), at HANNAHANNA Fest (Slovakia), in Bucuresti and at the Black Sea(Romania)). Our (and also my personal) aim is to play tru reggae music with real livin Fire in it and to spread di positive message. Our first album iwas released in June '08.In 2006 with Botond Ikvai-Szabó and Kata Kövári we founded the band called ROOTS KOMPAKT (playin reggae covers in a special acoustic way with poliphonic singing) for the Veszprem Street Music Fest - the contest part of which we won - and started to play quite often...I've learnt really a lot from these guys! I also started to work and play together with several other singers, mcz, producers, soundsystems and bands, bein invited to singjay around di country quite often.My life now is makin music and chantin and workin together with many I-thren at the Hungarian (and international) reggae scene. I'm open to many kinda music of course, that's why i often collaborate with different musicians and singers..from flamenco to african or even electronic music. I'm also into organising and "management": me work a lot on the band stuff, realisin concerts, bashments etc. We also had a weekly reggae club called LITTLE ZION REGGAE CLUB, a soundsystem ting with different top-a-top selectas and sounds, mc-z and singers and also filmz and live jammin'.
So me jus' want to spread di Love, let music fill me life and chant up high continually...
