Hope are a five piece girl group consisting of 5 unique and extremely talented members. The group formed during the audition stages of TV talent show X Factor in 2007 where they originally auditioned as solo artists. The girls individually made it to the second stage of auditions but were told they had not made it through to the live shows. X Factor judge Louis Walsh saw potential in the girls and suggested they form a girl group and audition again together. Originally with 6 members; Charlie Mole, Phoebe Brown, Raquelle Gracie, Leah Lauder, Emily Biggs & SiSi Jghalef, they came together to form 'Hope'.
The girls wowed the judges at their first audition as ‘Hope’ with their rendition of Pussycat Dolls hit 'Don't Ya' and were guaranteed to make it through to the Bootcamp stage. Hope was taken to Marbella, Spain with the other groups where judge Simon Cowell was to mentor them for the show. All 6 girls then performed a fantastic acapella version of Rihanna’s number one hit ‘Umbrella with just an acoustic guitar played in the background, this had Mr Cowell very impressed with the girls and he decided to put them through to the live shows, however, something major was about to come their way....
All six girls were called in for a meeting, where Sisi was told she would have to leave the X Factor as it was against the rules to have a criminal record. The girls were given the choice to carry on as a 5 piece. They pulled together and decided to go on without her just days before they were to perform for the first time on the show. The girls made a huge impact on the live shows and made it to the final 5 acts (week 7) of the contest performing some hit songs along the way including Rihanna’s Umbrella, Christina Aguilera’s Hurt and the Amy Winehouse hit Back to Black. The girls grew stronger personally and vocally and were set to be the most talked about band ever to appear on the X Factor with their raunchy style and fantastic voices.
After the X Factor show finished Hope joined the other contestants from the live shows on the ‘X Factor Tour 2008’ which began on 11th February 2008 in Belfast, Ireland and stopped at many various cities all over the UK finishing on 21st March 2008 at Wembley Arena, London. The girls opened the shows during the tour with their stunning versions of Umbrella and We Will Rock You, which saw them receive rapturous applause from the crowds. Following the success from the X Factor tour Hope have been busy in recording studios writing brand new material and recording new tracks whilst also continuing to tour performing live shows which has seen them appear on The Clothes Show, The Isle of Wight Festival 2008 and touring as support act to Westlife and Boyzone at various venues in the UK where they have been able to perform two of their new tracks ‘Hot’ and ‘This Is It’. The girls have received great support from the fans at the gigs and have received great reviews in some articles online and in the press. Hope are currently still touring with Boyzone and in between are still in the recording studio working on their new tracks, all geared up to a late summer release of their potential debut single ‘Hot’, samples of which can be found on our myspace page. Please use the banners below to help promote HOPE
