CAUSE OF DAMAGE

Cod was formed in the mid of 1999 along the beginning of the hardcore movement in Solo (a small city located in Central Java-Indonesia). The first formation of the band were Fany a.k.a Genther (on bass), Agus a.k.a Ceper (1st vocals), Ade (2nd vocals), Ronnie (on guitars), and Jarwoko (on drums). The band was influenced by the old school hardcore bands, such as Cause For Alarm, Discipline, Warzone, S.O.I.A and others old school hardcore bands. The name of band, Cause of Damage, was created by Ebes (a band member of Hard of Truth, one of old school Solo hardcore bands). The first Cause of Damage line up had its first performance on the first hardcore gigs in Solo entitled “Solo Blludreg”. Jarwoko, Ceper and Ade left the band for some reasons, then. Ronnie invited Endro (a singer of funk/rock band called Epilepsy) as the singer of Cause of Damage and Agung a.k.a Ponang to play drums in the band. In the year of 2000, Ponang and Ronnie left the band and their position were replaced by Thomas (on guitar) and Jarwoko (on drums). The changing of the band line up had a great influence for the changing of Cause of Damage music, from old school hardcore to new school hardcore. In the beginning of 2001, the band line up were Endro (on vocals), Eric (on drums), Kotot (on guitar), L.C (on bass) and Genther (on guitar). In the year of 2002, Cause of Damage recorded its first demo tracks entitled “Vertical Sight” and “Down Into Disease” (featuring Syahudi a.k.a Chotax on vocals). After the recording sessions, Eric left the bands and his position was replaced by Andreas Novic a.k.a Pey. In 2003, Cause of Damage recorded its 8 metallic-hardcore-sound-tracks. In the end of 2003, Endro left the band and the position was replaced by Venda (the singer of First Flower After Flood) as an additional singer of Cause of Damage. This band line up played on “Gerilya Music Underground”@ Jayabaya University, Jakarta-Indonesia. After about 4 years of deactivation, the band line-up now are Endro (on vocals), Genther (on guitar), Kotot (on guitar), Pey (on drums) and L.C (on bass). CAUSE OF DAMAGE now is ready to strike back again !!!
