About Me

As you may have very well guessed, my name is Jamie Howard. I live outside of Atlanta, Ga in a not-so-little-anymore town called Acworth. In fact, I am the youth pastor at the Acworth Church of God of Prophecy. With that said, I don't believe that I'm all too different in nature from most other people -- I still get aggravated every once in a while and have to fight off pride. However, God has drastically changed my life in the past five years since I have accepted Him as my Savior. He has abundantly blessed me with an amazing passion to live for Him. I (of course) don't say that with boastfulness or pride in any sense of the words, for Jamie Howard has not accomplished a thing in this world of any significance without Jesus Christ first teaching and prompting him to do so. My only ultimate aim in this world is to do the will of my Father. I may miss the mark at times, but the only difference between one who experiences awesome defeat in the place of victory and one who experiences neither is that the first attempted. I pray that God continues to grant me mercy every day, that I may live a life that glorifies Him. A life that not only is full of worship and adoration for my Creator, but also a life that if fascinated by the smallest reflection of Him in this world. I will not be one to judge another, but I do know the One who judges, and His judgments are eternal. Everyone has their own opinion about this life's meaning and purpose -- about religion, God, and what happens when we die. We each are entitled to our own opinions... that much (at least) is true. However, "entitled" just means that you have the right to host and support that opinion, it never includes the fact that the opinion is true. There is theory that has been around for many, many centuries that there is a natural law that governs all men everywhere, telling us what is right and wrong. This law is separate of culture and society. Now, we call this Natural law "absolute truth". This means that there is truth no matter where one is, and no matter what they believe. Just as 2+2=4 in America, 2+2=4 in India, though the characters may change. The reason that I write this in my "About Me" section, is that I not only believe in "Absolute Truth", I accept it as unavoidably true and right. The truth, is that Jesus of Nazareth, a man who lived on this planet for thirty-three years was and is the Son of the Living God. And at the age of thirty-three, after only three years of official ministry, Jesus the Christ (the Messiah) died for the sins of the world. His blood was shed for us living in the United States of America in 2007 as much as it was for those living in Jerusalem, Israel in AD 33. Jesus took your every negative, bitter, and lustful thought as His own when the Roman army shoved the crown of thorns into His head. He took your every sickness, emotional and physical upon His back with every slash of the whip so that you may be free from the sickness of sin. Lastly, Jesus the Christ, the Savior of the world to nails through His wrists and feet so that you may never taste the death of this world-- that you may be free from your rebellion and unhappiness, addictions and hopelessness, bitterness and depression. Jesus the Christ, calls to you right now, for "Today is the day of salvation." He wants to be free from the slavery of sin. Here is your Truth for today, "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." I pray that you answer God as He calls to you... not to find a religion, but to find a relationship with the One who speaks order into the midst of chaos and life in the presence of death. In case you've forgotten after this long exposition, my name's Jamie. haha... let me know if you have any questions. I'm up for any conversation! In Christ, Jamie
