STONESIDE BIO April 09- Originally formed in the Fall of 2007, this rock/ alternative/ reggae trio was founded by Native Californians Jason (aka J. Strawberry), a Bay Area product, and Ray (aka RB), originally hailing from the suburbs of Long Beach. Within a few months later, J. and RB would combine their talents with christian rock drummer Danny Cook (aka DCP) and solidify their sound under the current name "Stoneside". Within those few months, J. and RB would showcase their first acoustical performance at Live Sports Cafe in Downtown Houston. Shortly thereafter, Stoneside would emerge with a live performance in the Heights of Houston at the Shady Tavern. The band would again return to the Shady Tavern to perform for a Halloween 07 bash. In Dec. of 07, Stoneside resurfaced once again at Houston’s own Fitzgerald’s. During Jan. 08, the band performed weekly at Papa Earl’s Tavern on the North-West side of Houston, and played acoustic invitation spots on Fridays at Big Woodrow’s in the Galleria area. With the addition of D-Boi on drums, Stoneside has rocked the socks out of places like the Alamo Draft House, and Live Sports Cafe during Feb. 08, leaving many unforgettable impressions. Throughout the months of February through May of 2008, Stoneside surged at The Dam Ice House, playing weekly shows and stunning many crowds in attendance, which included opening for SoCal artist Josh Fischel. Stoneside has also teamed up with the phenomenal band Hueman, opening up for them at Dean's Credit Clothing in Downtown Houston, and at the West Alabama Icehouse. In Aug. 08, Stoneside had the privilege of opening up for Long Beach, CA's own 3rd Alley & Josh Fischel at Just Chill Cigar Lounge. As of late, the crew is in the studio working on fresh new songs that will make you wanna break dance! In addition, the band has shared the stage with many talented Houston players along the way, including Smokey Johnson (Vox/Guitar), Troy Ita (Vox/Guitar/Bass/Keys), Danny (aka D-Boi/Percussion), & Todd Most (Drums).
